booksy-cli

Import your booksy.com login from a cookie export. Profiles and CI.

Searching, checking slots and watches need no login. Booking, appointments, bookmarks and me do.

booksy.com keeps your login in a cookie named identity-<country> (identity-es in Spain). It lasts about six months and Booksy does not rotate it. The CLI imports that cookie instead of asking for your password, so email, Google, Apple and Facebook accounts all work the same way.

Import your login

  1. Log in at booksy.com in your browser.
  2. Export the cookies for booksy.com, for example with the Cookie-Editor extension (Export → JSON), and save them to a file.
  3. Import:
booksy auth login --cookies ~/Downloads/booksy-cookies.json
booksy auth status --check
rm ~/Downloads/booksy-cookies.json

Also accepted: a Netscape cookies.txt, EditThisCookie JSON, a copied Cookie: header, or the bare identity-es value (booksy auth login prompts for it, or pipe it with --cookies -). Only booksy.com cookies are read, so exporting every site is harmless.

The CLI checks the login with Booksy, then saves it to credentials.toml with mode 0600. It never goes into config.toml. Your account's location becomes the default centre for searches.

Do not paste the cookie value into chats, issues or AI assistants: it works like your password until it expires.

Expiry

booksy auth status and booksy doctor warn two weeks before the cookie expires. Then repeat the import. booksy auth status --check asks Booksy whether the login still works.

Log out

booksy auth logout

This forgets the saved login on this machine. Your booksy.com session in the browser is unaffected.

Several accounts or countries

Each profile has its own login and country:

booksy auth login --cookies pl-cookies.json --country pl --profile poland
booksy profile list
booksy search fryzjer --profile poland
booksy profile use poland # make it the default

CI and scripts

Set BOOKSY_ACCESS_TOKEN to the cookie value; nothing is written to disk and it overrides any saved login.
